Eri asked How to make LED Light up Glasses?

yo i was wondering where i can find (red and blue) flashing lights, like for a cop car? except i want to lights to be small like christmas lights, bet red and blue flashing. does anybody know where i can get some?

And got the following answer:

Try Spencer's Gift Shop. They have lots of novelty items. If you want to try and make your own you'll need a hot glue gun (a good one, not a cheap toy), glasses, the red and the blue LED, a 555 Timer and some descrete components to make it all work. You'll also need a battery pack to put in your pocket and run the wires up to the glasses. The wire going up to the glasses can be small. LED's don't require much power. Let me see if I can find a link. I'll post it in a minute. OK, in this diagram http://www.electroniccircuitsdesign.com/555-timer-circuits/555-timer-led-flasher-circuit.html they show two red LED's. You can substitute one of the red for a blue. You may have to adjust the resistance to get them to shine in equal brightness, but from this diagram you should have no problems. Hope this helps. '')
