Rick N asked which brand of tools is best? DeWalt? Milwaukee? others?

Which is the best way to go DeWalt? Milwaukee? Makita? Ryobi? Black and Decker? Others?

And got the following answer:

I sort of agree with the first answer, and I've answered this question before for others. Are you a pro or are you a home handy guy working on projects around the house? If you're a pro, DeWalt, Makita, or Milwaukee is the way to go because they'll see hard use for a long time. If you're a weekend warrior like me, Ryobi, etc., will do fine. I've used a Ryobi 18 volt set of cordless tools for over 10 years and they're still going strong. As the batteries fail I'm replacing them with the new ones. I have the vsr drill, reciprocating saw, small circular saw, and a flashlight I have to keep tracking down because my wife is prone to stealing it. I added a small sander a couple of years ago and am planning a project that will cause me to add an impact driver.
