Michael asked Does blue led do for night aquarium light ?

I have recently purchased a 2 mode aquarium light. 48 whites and 8 blue leds will the blue light be good for night or the fishes wont sleep ?

And got the following answer:

The fish will be OK with the blue light at night, they will just think it's a full moon. But as to why you have it on? It's only a decoration, and if you are asleep it's not doing anything to the tank? On a marine tank you may have nocturnal critters and coral. In that case you leave the "moonlights" on for a while so you can see them. But they are only for the owners benefit, so you can see what's happening in the tank when it's "dark" (ish) Ian
