I have a RGB Control Box for my LED Light Strips, it didn't come with a power cord. I ordered an AC Adapter with Output 12VDC 1000mA and it seems to work with the control box. The control box need DC12V 6A(max) plug. I need to know if its ok to use the ac adapter I purchased with 12VDC 1000mA onto my control box that needs DC12V 6A(max) the led light strip is 5050 Led lights and currently is has 100 led RGB. Will this adapter work?

Well, 6 amps is 6000 mA. So you can see right away that your adapter cannot supply the maximum current the control box could draw. However the actual draw will depend on how many LEDs. (The power used in the controller itself is negligible.) The typical RGB light strips use 5050 LEDs. Each 5050 RGB LED (a white square) actually contains 3 LEDs, one each R, G, and B. They can pull up to 20 mA each. So each RGB LED can pull up to 60 mA total. 1000 mA ------------- = 16 (it is actually 16.666..., but we round down to give a small safety factor) 60 mA meaning that if all of the LEDs have all of the sub-LEDs (R, G, and B) on full, a 1000 mA supply can safely drive only 16 of them. That's not very many. If you were doing only a single primary color (R, G, or B) at a time, or using just one primary color per LED, that would be 20 mA per LED position, so you could drive up to 50 of them. With no safety margin. Your decision,... but I would say that that adapter is woefully underpowered for this job, unless you are running very few LEDs.
